centralfloridanaturephoto > On 11/27/09, I spotted this Mama Bear and two of her cubs about 3 miles from where I saw the bear on Thanksgiving Day.
After watching them for quite some time, the Mama Bear came down on her own accord and led her cubs off through a field behind the trees. They can be quite the characters and a lot of fun to watch.

centralfloridanaturephoto > I spotted this bear in Seminole State Forest. as he poked his head up and played "peek-a-boo" among the palmetto bushes. I believe him to be a male bear due to his size and stature.

centralfloridanaturephoto > It was 87 degrees with very high humidity, I was dying from the heat when this little guy dropped by in a fur coat. I don't know how they do it.
centralfloridanaturephoto > I spotted this guy on the trail today, 6/6/09, looks like he might have been rolling around in the sand. It was my first bear sighting in 6 months, so it is always a thrill to see them in their natural environment.
centralfloridanaturephoto > Meet "Bruno", the alpha male of Seminole State Forest in Florida. For the last 3 years, I have been trying to get a photo of a Florida Black Bear standing amidstt he palmetto scrub. On the foggy morning of Dec. 20, 2008, "Bruno" appeared, stood up (all 6+ feet of him) and with an innocent and endearing look, granted me my wish.
